(Where have I been?/What`s the truth?)

This is the spelling in german of an ambigous question, which had been defined by the producer and was the main content of a series of four literarical readings considering questions about origin, roots and identity, searching and finding, imagination and reality. All of the authors were born in an area of conflicts and grew up in different worlds (in a geographical or mental sense). For example the son of italian immigrants in Switzerland describes his childhood in the late 50ies, grewing up in an italian parent‘s house, surrounded by swiss culture.
The lacquer paint is thought as a hint to clearness and truth, which is hard to catch, colourless and fleeting. The corresponding front- and backside represent the theme of different origins and a changing truth, which depends on where you are and from where you look at things.
